SPACE-LUXE

What is a luxury space? Designed to reflect luxury in state of space, concept, lights, materials, technology, decoration, etc.

Its style will be reflected in different aspects.

Classical Luxury

The neo-classical interior design style is inspired by the Greek and Roman architecture. It features the grandness that is characteristic of these age-old designs with a modern twist.

Victorian Luxury

The Victorian style of interior design emulates the architecture used in the Victorian era.

Traditional Luxury

The traditional version of luxury interior design utilizes strong wooden accents and warm colors. The grandness of this kind of styling comes from epic detailing.

Baroque Luxury

The Baroque style was literally a movement that rose to defy the simplicity and starkness that arose when religious extremists stripped the churches of all décor – leaving no sculptures, artwork or decorations.

Rococo Luxury

The Rococo style used to be the darling theme of French aristocracy back in the eighteenth century. It represents the tail end of the Baroque era, and features light pastel colors with gold accents to mark its identity.

Modern Luxury

The concept of luxury is interpreted in the modern style through clean lines, spacious rooms with zero structural hindrances and an emphasis on a neutral color palate.

Contemporary Luxury

The contemporary style is an accumulation of all the styles that were popular in the latter half of the twentieth century.

Future Luxury

Futuristic concepts and forms are integrated into the design.

Sir John Soane’s Museum

The Sir John Thorne Museum is the smallest national museum in the UK and one of the first museums in the world to be open to the public.

Sir Thorn has more than 10,000 books in his collection, Sir John Soane’s Museum is a house museum, formerly the home of the neo-classical architect John Soane. It holds many drawings and models of Soane’s projects and the collections of paintings, drawings and antiquities that he assembled. The Soane Museum is now a national centre for the study of architecture.

The Monk’s Parlour

There’s more of Soane’s whimsy in the Monk’s parlour, a set of rooms in the basement of the house. It is imitation Gothic style that is part satire and part advertisement for Soane’s versatilit.

TEAM WORK-model making process

The first project to start school is to work in groups.

“Group work is a form of voluntary association of members benefiting from cooperative learning, that enhances the total output of the activity than when done individually.”

In fact, it is more difficult for the group to work than the individual. Skills in group work are often about people, and building rapport within a group and working together effectively. We need language communication, listening and asking questions. We work hard to ensure that the team communicates well and helps ensure that there are no misunderstandings or unresolved difficulties between team members. Teams need to make common decisions and be able to provide clear and effective feedback to others. It is critical to keep team processes running and planning effectively.

In the process, we inevitably have a lot of differences and dissatisfaction, but we communicate with each other and resolve misunderstandings, and we still have a perfect work in the end. And I learned a lot in this cooperation and also met a lot of friends. It was a very meaningful experience.

MAGIC-the first project

WHAT IS MAGIC ?

Magic is the power to use supernatural forces to make impossible things happen, such as making people disappear or controlling events in nature.

CONCEPT

According to Harry Potter’s inspiration, and the event happened on Halloween, so our concept wanted to create the feeling of thunder and lightning, giving people a magical feeling.

Actual effect

Bauhaus

The so-called “Bauhaus style” is actually another name for “modernist style”. Called the “Bauhaus style” is a misinterpretation of the Bauhaus. The Bauhaus is a trend of thought, rather than a complete style.

The “Bauhaus” school focuses on the theory and practice of basic courses. Through a series of rational and rigorous visual training procedures, students “brainwash” and reshape their new ways of observing the world. At the same time, printing, glass painting, metal, Furniture, wood, weaving, photography, murals, stage, book binding, ceramics, architecture, curation and other 13 different professional workshops, to cultivate students’ accurate practical skills. This method of teaching seemed very different from the traditional academic school at that time, but it later became almost a universal model of modern art and design teaching around the world.

It reduces the production cost of art and improves the production efficiency of art, so that art is fully and integratedly involved in modern human life. In the pursuit of environmental protection and a simple life, the concept of “Bauhaus” is not only outdated, but also should be carried forward to continue to benefit humanity.

Harry Potter

“Harry Potter” is a 7-magic novel series written by British writer J. K. Rowling from 1997 to 2007. The first six of them feature the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as the main stage, and describe the protagonist, the young wizard student Harry Potter, six years of life and adventure in Hogwarts. Story; The seventh book describes the story of Harry Potter searching for Horcruxes and destroying Voldemort in the Second World War.

Why is the “Harry Potter” series so popular with audiences? “Harry Potter” is never afraid to mention death: Death is something that cannot be changed. No one was resurrected in this long magic story, and Rowling never tried to give people an illusion. Even the dead who were awakened by the resurrection stone were unhappy, and eventually returned to the grave. Harry Potter was able to defeat Voldemort because he really accepted the “death” incident and died generously.

There are many more details in Harry Potter: the pursuit of racial equality; mutual understanding and support among friends; the most important meaning of education is to teach what kind of people rather than what skills …

Architects

For the history of architecture, I think that two architects have a great influence on today’s society, that is Antoni Gaudí and

About Antoni Gaudí i Cornet , he was a Spanish architect known as the greatest exponent of Catalan Modernism. Gaudi’s works have a highly individualized, one-of-a-kind style. Most are located in Barcelona. Gaudi’s work was influenced by his passions in life: architecture, nature, and religion. (Wikipedia 2019)

Gaudi’s work draws inspiration from nature and effortlessly blends various aspects of both Baroque, Gothic, Moorish and Victorian elements. Nowhere is this most evident than in his 1883 La Sagrada Familia and the creation of the famous apartment block known as the Casa Milla. Antoni Gaudi’s work has influenced generations of architects from all ends of the earth. He considered every detail of his creations and integrated into his architecture such crafts as ceramics, stained glass, wrought ironwork forging and carpentry. He also introduced new techniques in the treatment of materials, such as trencadís which used waste ceramic pieces.

His ideas are somewhat different – Gaudí, who loves nature, does not try to “invent” a wonderful new building, but just wants to “follow” nature to build. Therefore, for the rest of his life, Gaudi is eager to pursue nature in his own design. There is almost no straight line in his work, and most of them use a living curve and organic objects to form a building.

Another Architects is Richard George Rogers, he is a British-Italian architect noted for his modernist and functionalist designs in high-tech architecture. His masterpieces include the famous “Millennium Dome”, the HSBC Bank of Hong Kong designed in collaboration with Foster and the Centre Pompidou Centre for the Arts and Culture in Paris. Although controversial, it does not prevent him from becoming one of the most influential architects in 30 years.

His architectural work embodies the powerful influence of architectural technology on architectural creation with a strong visual impact. His design philosophy examines the cutting-edge dynamics of the development of information-based social architecture under the leadership of high technology with profound philosophical speculation. An important perspective to interpret Richard Rogers’ architectural works is to accurately grasp the aesthetic attributes of his works, analyze the technical aesthetic expressions as a starting point, and sort out a clear theoretical context. Richard Rogers’ architectural work expresses a unique visual form at the technical aesthetic level.

Bjarke Ingels is a Danish architect. His work is integrated into the principles of sustainable development and bold sociological concepts. One of the works is called Toronto’s most beautiful residential apartment that is KING Toronto Condos.  It is connected by 5 peaks, and the central part of the mountain peaks will have a green courtyard on the undulating roof. Each unit has maximum exposure to the sun and the opportunity to admire the lush green plants opposite, As if in nature. He used plants to surround the courtyard and houses to create a new ecosystem for the apartment. Increased air circulation, improved air quality, and can block a large amount of photothermal radiation, which can reduce the internal temperature of summer buildings and keep the temperature constant during the winter. In addition, plants and substrates have a strong absorption function for sound and can consume a large amount of greenhouse gas carbon dioxide, effectively suppressing the urban heat island effect.

Sustainable Architecture

What is sustainable architecture? That is architecture that seeks to minimize the negative environmental impact of buildings by efficiency and moderation in the use of materials, energy, and development space and the ecosystem at large.

Designed by WOHA Architects to enthrall its guests with an overwhelming sense of green goodness, the hotel truly stands as a shining beacon of sustainable design on the edge of Singapore’s busy business district. While most other hotel buildings and large commercial projects eat into the ‘green-growing’ potential of the proposed site, the audacious design of PARKROYAL ensures that it doubles the existing greenery of the site!

“Our cities are a assembly of steel, concrete and glass,” said Penda partner Chris Precht. “If you walk through the city and suddenly see a tower made of wood and plants, it will create an interesting contrast.”

“The warm, natural appearance of wood and the plants growing on its facade bring the building to life and that could be a model for environmental friendly developments and sustainable extensions of our urban landscape,” he added.

The project is being developed by Belgian firm Vincent Callebaut Architectures and commissioned by the Egyptian Abraj Misr. The Gate will be fully completed in 2019.

The ambitious project features 1,000 smart apartments with an interior comprised of “mega- trees”, and walls that provide natural ventilation.

Buildings on site are partially powered by solar and wind energies. Callebaut has previously mentioned to Business Insider that he sees the project as a “small” step towards a sustainable future.

The Art of Design ‘Architecture’

Last week, we watched a movie that introduced Bjarke Ingels, he is a Danish architect who is known for his anti-traditional architectural ideas. His design incorporates ideas for sustainable development and sociological concepts, and the slashes of these buildings are often integrated into the environment.

The main content of the Ingels speech is “change” and the need for architects and others to respond to the imminent threat of climate change. Here, he reviews the company’s floating cities developed to reflect the UN’s sustainable development goals. It can generate electricity by itself, collect rainwater, and grow food locally.

When LEGO worked with him, he tried to create a building that was as interactive and playful as the Lego brand itself. He designed an interior-connected rooftop playground and an indoor plaza where citizens can freely enter and exit the ground. This is probably the only museum in the world where you can get in touch with exhibits.

What impressed me was his one of his projects is an apartment project on the 57th Street in Manhattan’s West End, facing the Hudson River. For this project, the owner hopes that the residential building, which will accommodate 700 residents, will make full use of the surrounding natural landscape to create a new architectural concept that is different from the general urban apartment.

This atrium is like an oasis of the city, implanting an urban oasis into the apartment project center, like the condensed version of New York central park. And If you walk around the block around the building, you will find that the building is a variable body. From the west road, the building looks like a pyramid, and from West 58th Street, it becomes a huge glass spire. The entire courtyard starts from the second floor, so pedestrians passing by can also see the garden view of the building. This building is very well coordinated from light, space and privacy, and it also has a modern art atmosphere.

I known that the project has become the most innovative high-rise building in the world, and Bjarke and his team won the 2106 International Building Award (IHA), which gives a new trend in future apartment buildings.

Interior Design

What is ‘Interior Design’ ?
